@dirtbuyer - a well named band to be playing amidst our garden beds - will be headlining with support from @judsonkolk @myangelpuppet and @age160_deathprediction. Doors are at 5 and as always this concert is open to the all.

We are excited to welcome @captaincatdreams @shamtunes and @andy_loebs for an evening of puppetry and music!
Asheville-based artist Madeleine brings us a wholesome expression of life's wondrousness and the creatures woven within it all through puppetry, featuring a live-score by local musicians.
Shane Justice McCord is a musician from Asheville, NC exploring elements of sound collage, songwriting, and experimentation.

8/22: Willo: Feel the Music 2:30pm-5pm
Willo is a space to feel the music. During the concert you will be able to express how the music makes you feel through any medium you’re comfortable with (journaling, drawing, crochet, dancing etc). We want you to be present, mindful and not only fully listening but also feeling the music... and to express all of those feelings in your activity. If that’s not your thing, that’s also ok — it’s all about being present and feeling the music. At the end, we will open it up for sharing with the artist and see the similarities and patterns we all felt from the music.

Max Gordo will be trumpet playing with assorted pedalwork and looping effects.
Zack Schiavetta will be premiering work for a string quartet.
Lomar Brown will perform improvisatory work on alto sax.

Maximilian Gordon, Pleasure Systems, and Pierre
Maximilian Gordon builds rich trumpet and keyboard worlds with live loops and field recordings.
Pleasure Systems is gentle and heartbreaking soft-pop and folk project of songwriter Clarke Sondermann.
Pierre is the project of violist and singer Isabella Bustanoby, who infuses contemporary indie songwriting with a medieval aesthetic.
3 People is the experimental DJ duo of writer Daniel Felsenthal and musician Maximilian Gordon. Their soundscapes blend ambient, jazz, and poetry.

9/10: New Moon Breathwork and Intention Setting Circle/Gathering
6:30 - 8pm
Join us on 9/10 at 6:30pm for an evening of connection and reflection with the energy of the new moon in Virgo. We'll enjoy a guided meditation, breath work, intention setting, and a simple full moon ritual in the beautiful 6BC Garden.
This is a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, meet like-minded people, and share a meaningful experience in community. All are welcome!
Please bring a towel, blanket or yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. Hope to see you there!

Born in 1948, The Space Lady's ethereal covers and space-y originals made her one of the most distinctive street performers during the '80s and '90s.
Armed with her trusty Casiotone MT-40 phase-shifter keyboard and wearing her winged helmet, the Space Lady's otherworldly essence and infectious joy is a must-witness.

Nina Ryser's music has always inhabited its own world; a singular and cohesive collection of Keyboard-centric home recordings that marry her undeniable pop sensibilities with a truly bizarre dreamlike aesthetic. With a solo career spanning 7 releases, film scores, and orchestral composition, as well as in the influential art-punk trio Palberta, Nina's artistic voice has been a staple in the American underground for over a decade, her distinctive and consistent sound earning a cult following.

a door left open in the mind 1pm-7pm
In the Distortion of Celestial Privacy, a Door Left Open in the Mind Set within the living landscape of 6BC Botanical Garden, this third annual iteration, curated by Sarah Viviana Valdez, brings together the sculptural practices of Ori Carlin, Erin Lingard, and Lizzy Chemel. The artists span materials and techniques, notably including wood-fired ceramics, metal, concrete, salvaged materials and stained glass mirages. Their works share a common sentiment toward incredible craftsmanship deriving from botany, memory, and family histories. Throughout the garden's labyrinth, each location and placement of these pieces will similarly act as an embroidery unifying the rhythms and quiet transformations to shape their own narratives. Beginning in the afternoon and unfolding toward sundown, the exhibition will culminate with closing performances by Sky Axe, Karol Konstancia with ensemble, and Fillan Fernando. These performers honor traditions of myth, folklore, songwriting, choral a cappella, and poetry. The intent is to offer gifts that extend the exhibition’s exploration of memory and storytelling. We invite visitors to wander through a space where sculpture, sound, and movement become small openings into remembrance and shared imagination. For folks who feel compelled, the curator will offer tours throughout the day. Enjoy these presented moments of pause where the private worlds we carry within us are invited to briefly open onto the garden and one another.

Join transformation coach & community care worker, Dana Balicki + plant / human / more-than-human friends for grounding & plantfondling (think: active guided-meditation but more playful)! We'll gather at the gorgeous & magical 6BC Garden in the East Village where we'll practice the life-changing art of slowing down, and… ꩜ the wildly subversive act of reclaiming our attention ꩜ taking ourselves less seriously through whimsy, weirdness, wonder, awe! ꩜ dropping into our bodies & the earth ꩜ detangling from our phones/urgency/optimization ꩜ and more! An evening of music, ft Saachi, Ilana Frost, Sneha Jayaraj and Calling Margaret
Based in Queens, Sneha Jayaraj is a lover of vichitra veena, world arts, and the colorful spirit of ragam.
Saachi is a singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn archiving her experiences through indie-folk songs. Swamped by Saachi, named after her upcoming debut EP, is an acoustic performance of songs about her coming of age in South Florida and the interesting ways that the Florida heat and humidity can shape character, experience, and time.
Calling Margaret is your modern day bard, embodying the essence of a storyteller and rockstar all in one. Based in NYC, her music blends together indie-rock, pop and folk to explore the perspectives of different characters intertwined with her own experiences.
Ilana Frost is a singer-songwriter based in Queens. She writes vulnerable indie-pop songs about mental health and relationships, and takes inspiration from artists like Noah Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Annika Bennett.
