                                                              membership requirements

                                                                        MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL INFORMATION

Hello, fellow gardeners! 6BC is seeking responsible persons interested in making a commitment to our garden. Help us keep this lovely space green and growing! Meet your neighbors!

No prior experience necessary - we all learn together. There plenty to do if you don't want to get their hands dirty, too!  Help us keep the garden flourishing by learning/doing soil testing, planting, brickwork, carpentry, weeding, watering, sweeping, painting, events  planning and scheduling, website maintenance, social media, pond maintenance, bird feeding, composting, community outreach, plant identification, insect identification, keeping the garden open or any of the above, come to an orientation.  Orientations for this year have ended.

The general membership requirements are below. Please read them before your orientation. If you feel unable to honor the membership requirements , this might not be for you.
  • Open the garden three times during the season
  • Join a committee
  • Commit to participating in garden activity during the year.
  • Pay annual dues ($25)
Open hours, hosting events, orientations, attending committee meetings, workdays or workshops and any garden-related work all count towards fulfilling your commitment.

Once you have attended orientation and signed up for open hours, you will receive your keys to the garden and the library.

Orientations include work in the garden, so please dress accordingly, and plan to spend at least 3-4 hours.
We usually love you to bring your pooches to the garden, but please leave them home for orientation.

If you have any questions, please email us.

Hope to see you in the garden!
