Please help us keep it that way when you visit by observing the following:

GARDEN RULES

  • 6BC is a working garden; you enter at your own risk.
  • As 6BC is under the aegis of the NYC Parks Dept. the following Parks Dept. rules must be observed: no drugs, alcohol, smoking or loud music
  • Visitors, especially those with limited mobility, please be aware that most paths are narrow and uneven. The path from the gate to the "treehouse" is the most even and accessible.
  • Stay on paths (people and pets)
  • As the garden ponds are deep and the paths uneven, and some of the plants are thorny, children must be closely supervised by an adult at all times,
  • Pets are also welcome but must be leashed, under close control at all times. and must stay on the paths.  Please do not let your pet do its business in the garden.
  • Do not pick or break plants.
  • Do not run (the paths are uneven) or shout (please respect our neighbors and other garden guests).
  • Bikes, skates or skateboards cannot be used in the garden or block seating areas. Please secure them outside the garden or by the compost area near the garden entrance.
  • No fires or barbecues.
  • Food is allowed, but please take your trash out with you.
  • There are no bathroom facilities in the garden.

Once you visit our garden, if you like what you see, please consider helping keep our garden beautiful by becoming a member, volunteer, or making a donation.
