new solar power installation

8/6/2018

We have had solar power at 6BC for almost two decades. It powered things like the pond pump and some electric lights in the tool shed.
The panels and batteries were recently upgraded and now we are able to capture and store even more electricity for use.
A big thanks to Kris, Katherine, Charlie, Nick, Matt our Board, our donors and everyone who helped with the research and installation.
The latter was done on some of the hottest (& sunniest) days of the year.

Unless you have electrical contracting experience, you’ll need to hire a solar company to carry out the solar panel installation itself.

I appreciate you mentioning that even more power may be captured and stored by the panels and batteries for later use. I want to relocate to a new home and want it to be energy efficient. I'll look into solar patio installation to improve the energy efficiency of my home.
